Seagate offers Turboboost for mission-critical storage
S
eagate has enhanced its 10K and 15K mission- critical drives with an enhanced cache feature that makes it even more attractive for systems integrators
and builders constructing powerful and reliable storage solutions for customer data centres.
Te new TurboBoost™ capability means improved storage efficiency, faster I/O (more transactions in less time) and reduced latency and faster, more predictable response times – even during peak demand. In addition, the use of intelligent NAND management helps to extend the life of drives and Self-Encrypting Drive (SED) models are also available where higher levels of data security are needed. Te drives also come with Seagate RAID Rebuild™ technology, making RAID recovery faster and safer.
With TurboBoost the drives deliver up to 150% faster IOPS than the previous generation models and with higher capacities and a footprint that is up to 70% smaller, it is possible to provide much more capacity in the same or less space. Lower power consumption reduces energy and cooling costs, so customers gain here too.
