S

ynology is aiming to penetrate further into the business market with the latest extension to its DiskStation range of NAS devices.

Te eight-bay DS2015xs and 12-bay DS3615xs both come with built-in 10GbE SFP+ LAN ports, making them easy to connect to 10GbE backbones. Tey are ideal for rapid deployment in virtualised environments and distributed offices.

Powered by the new ARM Cortex-A15 quad-core CPU and 4GB DDR3 RAM (expandable to 8GB), the DS2015xs delivers over 2,090 MB/s throughput. It has two 10GbE SFP+ ports and two 1GbE RJ-45 ports and offers native SATA III 6Gb/s support too.

Te DS3615xs is equipped with a 3.4 GHz Intel i3 dual- core x64 processor and comes with 4GB ECC RAM as standard, expandable to 32GB. It can support up to 36

drives and also has USB3.0 connectivity. With a built-in AES-NI hardware encryption engine, it delivers exceptional throughput at over 2,350 MB/s and over 268,060 IOPS with a 10GbE NIC installed. It has four Gigabit LAN ports along with a PCIe 3.0 slot and supports read/write- optimised SSD cache and SATA III, so it can be used to unleash the full potential of blazing fast SSDs, while minimising the cost per gigabyte.

Te DS2015xs and DS3615xs can be scaled up to a raw capacity of 120TB and 216TB respectively by connecting DX1215 expansion units. Tey are certified for use by VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft Hyper-V. Tey both carry a five-year warranty.
