ROBIN LYNAM is a Hong Kong- based freelance journalist who writes on travel, food and drink, plus arts and culture. His Blue Notes and Lynam Up columns on two of his main enthusiasms – jazz and wines and spirits respectively – appear regularly in the South China Morning Post. In this issue he surveys the new generation of high-quality sparkling wines being produced outside the Champagne region, among them wineries in Kent and Sussex close to his English family home.


ULRIKE LEMMIN-WOOLFREY is a freelance writer based in Melbourne, Australia. She specialises in travel, expat issues and lifestyle writing. Originally from Germany, she is a self-confessed travel-holic and serial expat, having lived in six countries on three continents and counting. She has written three books on Australia, including an expat guide and a guidebook to Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef. In this issue she shares her tips on etiquette within the Australian business community.
