TAKE A CRUISE on the world’s most hi-tech cruise ship. The Quantum of the Seas undertook her maiden voyage at the end of last year and will be heading to her new homeport in Shanghai this spring. The ship offers unprecedented features such as RipCord by iFLY, the first “skydiving” experience at sea; the North Star, a viewing platform that transports guests to more than 300 feet above the ocean; SeaPlex, the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea with bumper cars, roller skating and more; as well as the Bionic Bar powered by the world’s first robotic bartenders. Also being unveiled this year is sister ship Anthem of the Seas, due to set sail in April.

open in China TWO DYNAMIC entertainment complexes have opened in Wuhan, China. The Han Show Theatre, which resembles a giant red Chinese lantern, has been purpose-built for an exciting new water show from Cirque de Soleil creator Franco Dragone. Meanwhile The Wuhan Movie Theme Park will contain six state-of-the-art movie-themed rides, ranging from simple 3D spectacles to interactive 6D experiences enhanced by actors and scenery. Both projects have been jointly designed by London-based firm Stufish Entertainment Architects and the Dalian Wanda Group, which is owned by China’s fourth-richest man Wang Jianlin.

Calling all art and food lovers
MERGE A FINE DINING experience with a visual feast at French restaurant Bibo, in Hong Kong. Star of the modern Japanese art world, Aya Takano, is the subject of the first exhibition by Hong Kong Contemporary Art Foundation. Takano’s dreamlike works incorporate memories from childhood, Japanese events, references to science fiction and elements of comics and cartoons.
