Lounge refresh for CX in Haneda
CATHAY PACIFIC’s new lounge at Haneda, at 990sqm, is one of its largest outside Hong Kong and the first to have been designed in line with the airline’s brand refresh. Comfortable leather seats, complimentary wifi and the airline’s signature Noodle Bar are all available. Parties eligible for access to the Haneda lounge include first and business class passengers, Silver or above Marco Polo Club members, and Sapphire or above oneworld members. The lounge is open from 7.30am-5pm, and is located on Level 6 near Gate 114.

The Flying
to Narita QANTAS AIRWAY’S customers will be able to fly directly from Brisbane to Tokyo’s Narita starting next August. Flights between Brisbane and Narita will operate four times a week and complement the carrier’s new daily direct Sydney- Haneda service. Travellers will be pleased to hear that the Brisbane-Narita flights will be served by the Airbus A330 fitted with the new seat design.

No to Boeing, yes to Airbus for Delta
DELTA AIR LINES has committed to an order of 50 new Airbus aircraft. The US carrier has chosen the Airbus A350-900 and A330-900neo to replace its soon-to-be retired Boeing 747 and 767s, and delivery of the new planes will begin in 2017 and 2019 respectively. The massive order is valued at US$14 billion at list prices. The announcement represents a setback for Boeing, whose B787 or B777 models were contenders to replace the retiring aircraft.

Tom Bradley International Terminal AIR NEW ZEALAND (ANZ) has moved its airport operations in Los Angeles to the newly refurbished Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). The move positions it closer to the vast majority of Star Alliance members, including All Nippon Airways, Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines. Eligible ANZ customers will enjoy access to the Star Alliance Los Angeles Lounge, which the airline manages.
