Collette launches revamped A4 preview brochure three months early Juliet Dennis
Collette has brought out its largest preview brochure three months early in a new A4 format. The operator’s previous preview
brochures were A5 in size and came out in September. The new-look brochure features
holidays from January 2015 to April 2016. General manager Peter Traynor said the decision to come out earlier was to capitalise on the potential for extra sales from early long-haul bookings.
He added that the aim of the new A4 size was to get the brochures racked in agencies, rather than being used as
Collette has expanded its National Parks of America itinerary
information mailouts to the trade. “We have brought out the
brochure earlier as long-haul tours, especially to Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Asia, sell well in advance,” said Traynor. The move reflected the growing
recognition of the brand, which has enjoyed a 26% increase in sales in the past 12 months, he added.
Most of the tours are in Collette’s strongholds
of the US and Canada, but trips to Australia, New Zealand, China, South Africa and South America also feature. The brochure has been launched with an early-booking saving of up to £250 per person. It is accompanied by a mailing campaign to clients, encouraging them to visit their agent to book. Itineraries that have been expanded include the National Parks of America tour, which now has an option to add a Denver city break, with direct return flights from Denver. The 15-day tour starts at £3,149.
