The HVO Project Team The HVO Project Team has a

number of key roles. The UKTI overseas team seeks out big international opportunities in their markets; the UKTI HQ staff work with overseas teams to evaluate and advise on potential opportunities. specialists on HVO projects. The mix of public and private sector expertise is key in bringing relevant and informed advice to the team, and the breadth of markets covered means that help is available for all sectors from creative to financial and security, all areas where UK companies have strengths. “Companies should look ‘beyond the headlines’ when presented with potential opportunities,” Lally says, citing a report on Macau Leisure and Retail and its booming gaming industry which could include a host of related projects of interest to UK companies, not just those involved in leisure or retail. “The HVO programme will assist companies to meet their targets, no matter how challenging, and be winners around

the world by its key strengths of using an organised approach, a strong blend of UKTI and private investors and the ability to work with great UK companies,” he adds. He urges UK companies to contact their local international trade adviser who can produce support for export ambitions and help them understand the HVO opportunities available to their business. He also recommends signing up to the UKTI’s website for alerts on all prospective business opportunities.
