In 2011 customers were introduced to the brand’s best-selling Rica Biosoluble Wax, the first 100% zero impact, natural wax formulated with new Bamboo Depilation Technology. This bio-soluble concept offers a flexible wax formula which can be worked at a very low temperature and guarantees an optimum adhesion to the hair for an efficient extra grip and less painful treatment.
The natural way
From the very outset, Rica’s commitment to providing the very best in naturally- derived products has remained and is still at the heart of the brand’s ethos. “It is our mission to create natural treatments that enhance the beauty of body and mind,” says Mario. “We embrace the vast, natural resources of Sicily and its volcano Mt. Etna, and use local, renewable elements with outstanding properties. We responsibly manufacture professional products of exceptional quality, and invest continuously in ongoing and intensive Research and Development.”
Indeed, Rica’s pledge to utilise and preserve natural resources, together with their commitment to ensure total quality during production led to the company obtaining an Ecocert certification. The control and certification organisation specialises in the international organic product sector. “We have worked for, and are proud to be recognised for our efforts in this way,” notes Mario.
In 2007, the company opened its state- of-the-art headquarters in Catania, Sicily. All Rica products are manufactured at the location which also houses a dedicated Product Academy where specialised
