Audi Commissions Ecomelt Furnaces 奥迪公司安装Ecomelt熔炉

Germany, has successfully commissioned two Ecomelt melting furnaces from Hertwich Engineering, Braunau am Inn(www.hertwich.com), Austria. Te two Ecomelt PR-50 furnaces supply the newly constructed diecast- ing line in Münchsmünster, Germany, with liquid metal. Audi decided in favor of the Ecomelt technology from Hertwich Engineering in order to meet the high de- mands on thein melting of small-sized scrap. Te Ecomelt melting furnaces provide cost-effective melting with low energy consumption due to its automa- tion technology. Te high-performance Ecomelt PR-50 heating system thoroughly preheats the charge before melting, resulting in low metal losses with good metal quality. Te two melting furnaces at Audi are capable of producing 100 tons of liquid metal per day. The Hertwich Hertwich Engineering scope of sup-


ply also includes a multi-container charging system, crucibles, melting tanks and a crucible charging and treatment station. 
