German Based Foundry-Lexicon is Now Online in English 德国版铸造辞典的英文版现已上线

1.200 keywords concerning the entire foundry technology combined with pictures, graphs, tables, videos and links. Based on the German standard work Giesserei-Lexikon, the English version attracts foundries, engineers, universities, students and buyers from around the world. Te next step will be the Chinese version of the lexicon.

China Foundry for BMW 宝马公司在中国建铸造厂
At the heart of every vehicle is its engine, which is why BMW Group has constantly focused on the development and production of its power units. Along with existing engine production sites in Ger-
many, Austria and England, BMW now produces engines in China. Te Powertrain plant in Shenyang produces the engines for all locally produced vehicles in China, delivering the same technology and quality standards that are applied across the entire BMW Group. In August 2012, BMW and Brilliance signed a contract
for the new engine plant, located in Shenyang, adjacent to the BMW Brilliance Automotive Tiexi vehicle plant. Te new plant will, in addition to machining and assembly
capabilities, have its own metalcasting facility, which will be the first BMW foundry outside of Europe. Construction of the plant began in April 2013, and it will open in 2016 with 2,000 employees. All production processes at the new plant comply with the BMW Group’s global standards for quality, safety and sustainability. Tese standards ensure engines are built to the same quality standards as the BMW engine plants world- wide—proving the automaker’s commitment to the Chinese market and their customers.

2012年8月，宝马公司和华晨公司为新发动机厂的 建设签订合同，新厂位于沈阳，毗邻华晨宝马汽车公 司。
除加工和组装车间外，新发动机厂还拥有自己的铸 造厂，是宝马公司在欧洲以外的第一家铸造厂。新厂 的建设于2013年4月启动，将于2016年投入运营，届 时将聘请2000名员工。
新发动机厂的所有生产工艺都与宝马集团的全球标准 保持一致，包括质量、安全性和可持续发展性。这将保 证所生产的发动机与全球其他宝马发动机厂保持同样的 品质，以实现宝马公司对中国市场和客户的承诺。
