No.18 Te Sun

One of the most central and well- known meeting spots on campus, Te Sun is marked by . . . you guessed it, a sun. Tis is the spot where groups meet for a variety of reasons. Whether it be to discuss Humans vs. Zombies’ strategy, head out for a jog, or to visit Te Shack for a latte, many students have met their best friend or even future spouse at Te Sun.

No.19 Warrior Athletics

From basketball to women’s softball, Jessup now offers 12 sports and plans to enter the GSAC in the fall. Warrior athletes comprise nearly twenty percent of the student population, keeping our athletic trainers busy year round!

No.21 On-Campus Transporation

Bike, skateboard, golf cart, scooter or rollerblades; the wheels have it!

No.23 Penguin Mail Box

Some might recall the message next to it that reads: Te ‘Penguin’ is symbolic of over 30 years of SJCC/WJU history. Standing proudly as a brown and yellow bird, it began its existence serving the SJCC campus as its library book return. Multiple attempts were made by the students to return it to its “natural” habitat - a few times it was found nesting in a tree or perching on the covered breezeway! How the students managed to move this weighty bird is a mystery, but they did. To read the full story, visit the Penguin in its current home, in front of the WJU Student Life mailroom.

Come and get it! Te dinner bell was a welcomed sound, especially before 7-Eleven was invented. Now, what’s cookin’ in the Crossroads Café permeates a delicious smell, often enticing people to grab a quick bite even if their plans originally meant leaving campus.
