No.11 Ping Pong in the Cafeteria
One of our favorite pastimes. What better way to work off those extra calories?
No.12 Partners
Simply put, we wouldn’t be celebrating our 75th anniversary if it weren’t for the generosity of our partners. We have been blessed by the support of thousands of partners who believed in our mission from the start; many more recently, who are hearing about our mission for the first time. God continues to do mighty works as we continue our commitment to share our story and send students forth to be disciples of Christ.
No.8 Prayer
Over the years, students have continued to strengthen their Christian walk through prayer, often resulting in abundant prayer lives. In San Jose, it was the Prayer Room that most remembered and in Rocklin it is the Prayer Chapel. Centrally located on our Rocklin campus is the Bryce and Jo Jessup
Prayer Chapel. No.9 Church Planting
Over 40 churches were planted during the 1940s, many of which are still vibrant churches today. Jessup alumni continue to actively plant churches throughout the world.
No.10 Cinnamon Rolls
Nothing demonstrated a better exercise in patience as students salivated and listened to seemingly long- winded chapel speakers with the heavenly scent of Doris Arneson’s Cinnamon Rolls waiting just a room away. For years, Doris provided these treats as an after-chapel snack to the delight of countless students.
No.13 SFGs
Spiritual Formation Groups started in the 90s and continue to be active today. In addition to attending chapel, students have the opportunity to fellowship and continue their spiritual formation in a small group setting.
