4. Presentation & Adoption of the 2013 Annual Accounts and Auditors’ Report 5. Appointment of Auditors


The Finance Committee recommends the appointment of DonnellyBentley Chartered Accountants for the year ending 31 December 2014.


6. Elections 6a. The following candidates are eligible for re-election:


i. Scott Titt President (eligible for re-election until April 2015)


ii. John Simpson Honorary Treasurer & Independent Director (eligible for re-election until April 2018)


iii. Mike Watson Vice-President (eligible for re-election until April 2015) Ed Douglas retires as Vice-President. Kate Phillips retires as Vice-President. 6b. The following candidates are eligible for election:


i. Rupert Davies is recommended by National Council for the position of Vice- President (nominated by BMC members Richard Kirby & Ashley Lewis).


ii. Mina Leslie-Wujastyk is recommended by National Council for the position of Vice-President


(nominated by BMC members Claire-Jane Carter & Graeme Alderson).


iii. Neil Foster is confi rmed as National Council representative on the Executive Committee (Director).


iv. Beverley Jowett is confi rmed as National Council representative on the Executive Committee (Director).


v. The appointment of (name available on 14 March 2014 at www.thebmc.co.uk/ agm2014) is confi rmed as an Independent Director on the Executive Committee.


7. Membership subscriptions from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2015 National Council recommends that individual and club member subscriptions should be increased by £1.50 per person and students / unwaged / U18s (including student club members) by £1.00 per person from 1 January 2015. Other rates (e.g. family membership) will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis.


8. Amendments to the Articles of Association The following resolution is proposed by National Council as a Special Resolution:


To replace ‘And the quorum of the Executive Committee shall be four persons’ with ‘And the quorum of the Executive Committee shall be fi ve persons’.

After the AGM there will be a presentation of the BMC George Band Award for Outstanding Voluntary Contribution


AGM Voting Procedures: In the case of a vote, on any agenda item, whether it be by hands or poll, every Voting Member aged not less than eighteen years, present in person or by proxy, shall have one vote. As laid down in Article 56.1, Ordinary Business put to the vote shall be decided on a show of hands, unless before or on the declaration of the result of the show of hands, a poll is demanded either by the Chair of the meeting or by not less than twenty Voting Members, present in person. As laid down in Articles 56.2, any special business to be put to a vote, shall be decided by way of a poll.
