The weather conditions in January were challenging to say the least, but that didn’t stop the BMC International Meet being a full-blown success: 44 international guests from 26 countries teamed up with UK hosts to experience some wild Scottish winter action.

Wild Country supports GB Paraclimbing Team
P Fran Brown: our world paraclimbing champion.
Following a fantastic fl edgling international season for the GB Paraclimbing Team, the team is looking forward to competing in the 2014 IFSC World Cup Series and World Championships. As well as support from the team’s dedicated volunteers, this year Wild Country will be providing equipment and fi nancial support. Richie Patterson of Wild Country said: “We’re really pleased to sponsor the Paraclimbing Team. Their dedication and attitude is an example to anyone who climbs, and we are proud to be able to help.”
Two join BMC team
Amii Wilkes joined the BMC team in 2013 from Awesome Walls Stockport as our offi ce apprentice, helping out with admin for comps and courses. Now Will Harris starts as our new Regional Development
Offi cer (England East). Will's fi rst mission will be to work with climbing walls across the east of England to extend the reach of our Rock Out courses for people moving into outdoor climbing.
Injury Symposium
Make a date with medical experts for a full weekend of talks and workshops on climbing injuries. The third BMC Climbing Injury Symposium will take place in Manchester on 15-16 November.
