They now can focus less on stocking and managing multiple circuit-breaker products, and more on competing more profitably.” The Allen-Bradley Bulletin 140G molded-case circuit breakers protect against overload, short circuit and ground-fault conditions. Eight frame sizes span a current range of 15 to 3,000 A and voltage range of 200 to 690V. All frame sizes are available in three- and four-pole versions. The line features increased short-circuit protection with coordination available for motors from 0.1 to 630 kW, fault currents up to 150 kA, and operational voltages up to 690V. The Bulletin 140G circuit breakers enable quicker clearing of higher-level faults at higher voltage. The modular design adds installation flexibility with a full range of operators, from motor and rotary to flange operators. The interrupting capacity from 25 to 150 kA allows a single unit to address multiple applications, which helps reduce product stocking. The extended line of flexible accessories includes auxiliary and trip-unit alarm contacts, wiring terminations, and electronic trip units from 20 to 3,000 A, allowing the product to meet the requirements of applications on a global basis. The Allen-Bradley family of miniature circuit breakers provides branch-circuit, supplemental and ground-leakage protection. This expanded portfolio for control circuit and load protection is IP20 finger safe, offers a wide array of available accessories, and features a versatile dual-cage terminal design. The Allen Bradley Bulletin 1489-M and Bulletin 1492-SPM circuit breakers are rated for 0.5 to 63 A, and available globally to machine builders. All offer reversible line and load connections. The Bulletin 1489- M miniature circuit breaker provides branch-circuit protection with current limiting and is suitable for extreme conditions. The Bulletin 1492-SPM miniature circuit breaker protects equipment, systems and cables by quick disconnection. The Bulletin 1492-RCDA miniature circuit breaker detects and interrupts earth leakage for equipment protection.

Outdoor weighing applications enhanced with latest TPE cables
BM has developed cables made from thermoplastic elastomers to provide a high level of protection against weather and rodents. The cables are available on reels for easier installation and additional flexibility when constructing outdoor installations of weighing systems. Outdoor weighing applications demand cables featuring sturdiness and long-term stability that are met by the latest thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) cables developed by HBM since they provide very high levels of mechanical protection when compared with PVC cables. The CAB1M variant of the cables features metal braid that can be needed as an additional deterrent from rodents. The use of TPE cables eliminates the need for expensive special cable protection pipes while ensuring high system safety and reliability. HBM also provides suitable installation material for a range of its products such as the C16 and HLC load cells, weighing modules C16/M and HLC/M and the WE2107 weighing electronics that complement the TPE cables for outdoor weighing applications.

series of new application guides is now available from ABB explaining how to optimise boiler
chemistry and steam quality in power generation applications. Produced as part of the launch of the latest products in ABB’s Navigator analyser range, the guides explain how to control some of the main parameters that affect steam generation efficiency. Each guide focuses on a particular parameter. Optimising power plant performance through silica monitoring explains how monitoring can help prevent
corrosion and build-up of scale. If left
uncontrolled, the accumulation of silica can reduce the performance of key plant including the boiler and downstream plant such as the steam turbine. The guide explains how ABB’s Navigator 600 Silica analyser can be used to help control silica formation and the key points around the steam loop where monitoring should be carried out. The other three guides focus on the parameters covered by ABB’s new Navigator 500 range, which includes versions for monitoring dissolved oxygen,
hydrazine and
