Robert is a senior professional staffer for the House Commi - ttee on Foreign Affairs in Washington, D.C. Maggie, an instructional coach at the city’s Bilingual Public Charter School, draws upon her Spanish major every day! The family lives in Chevy Chase, Md., with their two cats, Moshe and Petunia. nals in the Bay Club Men’s NTRP 5.0 Tennis Tournament in San Francisco, Calif., in September. Ian Braunstein was on hand to provide encouragement. The two are currently working on a rap album due out later this year. Megan Rhodes graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced Inter - national Studies at its European campus in Bologna, Italy, with a master’s in international public policy. This past summer, she completed a fellowship at the Euro pean Forum in Alpbach, Austria, and moved to Vienna, where she cur- rently resides. Before pursing graduate study, Megan lived in Beijing, China, for five years, working as an editor for the American Chamber of Commerce there. She is at megan.e.rhodes@gmail.com. less efforts to rope in a suitable mate” have been thwarted by his meager salary and a busy career in stand-up comedy. On the plus side, Dave and his cat Manny “are closer than ever.” Kirsten Steglich married Georgetown alumnus Fred Yannantuono at the Bear Mountain Inn in Highland Falls, N.Y., on June 1, 2013. Kevin Cook, father of Kir sten’s roommate Amy Cook Munn officiated. In attendance were Kirsten’s lifelong friend from Marblehead, Mass., Andrew Slater and his family, her freshman RA Jonathan Foss ’01, and close friends Vane Becidyan Broussard, Betty Juncker Hagymasi, Emily Winner Murtaugh, Laura Herman Schulte, and Dan SanGermano ’02. Kirsten is thankful to those who attended despite the conflict with her class’s 10th reunion and apologizes to everyone who missed those guests in Saratoga. Meg Edwards Epstein and husband Ian welcomed son Brooks in August 2012. Meg is a first-grade teacher at the Browning School in Manhattan. Julie Shulman Kupfer and Steve Kupfer welcomed daughter Emery Hazel on September 12, 2013. She joins brother Cole, 2. The family lives in Park Slope in Brooklyn. Julie is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in the West Village and Steve works for a boutique consulting firm that specializes in urban public edu- cation. Laura Stiebitz spent several years as marketing manager for the Pennsylvania Ballet. After returning to school to com- plete certification in secondary education, she landed her dream job last year. An English teacher at Lower Merion High School outside Philadelphia, Laura loves teaching 9th and 11th graders! She looks forward to seeing everyone at Reunion. Valerie Issembert is pursuing a master’s in educational theater and student teaching at the Lower Manhattan Arts Academy in NYC. In addition to completing the K–12 teacher certification process, she teaches theater at the Hewitt School and the Packer Collegiate Institute. Valerie is also directing Seussical Jr! at the Ramaz Middle School and performing as a supernumerary at the Metropolitan Opera. She looks forward to seeing everyone at Reunion. Bleecker recently purchased a “big fixer- upper” brownstone in Park Slope that he is currently renovating. Last May, Caitlin Givens graduated


from Georgetown University with a mas- ter’s in nursing. She is a certified nurse midwife and a women’s health practition- er at a public hospital in Washington, D.C., that serves low-income families. Caitlin married Charles Porter, the love of her life, on October 12 in Washington, D.C. Many wonderful Skiddies were on hand to celebrate the nuptials! Max Poppel and Dan Rose opened the Crash Pad: An Uncommon Hostel (www .crashpadchattanooga.com) in Chatta - nooga, Tenn., in 2011. ing (e-one-consulting.com), focused on brand strategy and project execution. Jessica Leonard married Joseph Donaldson on August 3, 2013, in Old Tappan, N.J. Loren Moore Silverman, Jen Marquis, Faith Towers, and Christi Tritton were bridesmaids. Kenne Dibner received a PhD in educa- tion policy from Michigan State University in May 2013. She works for D.C.-based education research firm Policy Studies Associates, evaluating government educa- tion policies and programs. After nearly 10 years together, Craig Hyland and Ryan Hannon ’07 tied the knot on October 5, 2013, in the Thomas Amphitheater outside Skidmore’s Zankel Music Center. It was a beautiful fall day. The wedding party included Lauren Finney ’07, David Grover, Matt Rivers, Mike Rivers, Sarah Soltau ’07, Chris Twombly, and Kristie Weibust Grover. Molly Appel ’07, Rachael Beard, and Mark Ritorto were among the guests partying hard at the Saratoga Springs City Center. Ryan and Craig were lucky to have some of Skid- more’s hardest-working faculty and staff join in the festivities, including Robin Adams ’00, Dan Curley, Megan Mercier, Kris Scully, Mike Sposili and Natalie Taylor.
