Col. Arville L. Hickerson, USA (Ret) (Life Member since 1987): In 2013, Hickerson was named a Distinguished Graduate by the Harvey High School (Ohio) Alumni Association. He has


contributed more than $500,000 to the MOAA Scholarship Fund, the Dart- mouth College Undergraduate Veterans Association, the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and Lake Erie College in Pennsylvania. He was inducted into the Harvey Red Raiders Booster Club Athletic Hall of Fame in 2005 (1951 championship football team) and in 2006 (individual athlete).


Former Marine Corps Capt. Pat Kenny (Life Member since 2013): An aviator from 1968-74, Kenny served a tour in Vietnam, where he was part of the Cam Sa Raid in which U.S. troops con-


ducted a successful daylight air assault on an estimated 30 Vietnamese cadre commanders. He is a past president of MOAA’s Lewis and Clark (Wash.) Chap- ter and a recipient of the national MOAA Leadership Award for his contribu- tions to wounded veterans personally and as a board member of Camp Patriot.


Rear Adm. Boris D. Lushniak, USPHS (Life Member since 1995): On July 17, 2013, Lushniak was named acting U.S. Surgeon General, where he serves as the nation’s doctor and oversees the


U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. Lushniak also chairs the Na- tional Prevention Council, established by the Aff ordable Care Act of 2010. He is a member of MOAA’s Montgomery County (Md.) Chapter.


Cmdr. Glenn I. Miller, USN (Ret) (Life Member since 1995): Miller served as the chaplain aboard USS Jouett (DLG/CG-29), deployed with Fleet Marine Force units to the Mediterranean


Sea and Indian Ocean, and served as command chaplain in Wales and Charleston and Beaufort, S.C. His fi nal assignment was as deputy director, Pastoral Care, at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md. Miller serves as MOAA’s national chaplain and as a board member on its Member- ship Committee. He is a member of the Sandhills (S.C.) Chapter.
