(Buddleia)–Zones 5-9–This shrub attracts but- terfl ies by the score. Abundant 12 to 18 inch fragrant fl ower spikes are produced all summer on 4 to 8 foot plants. Because pruning stimulates earlier and more profuse fl owering, cut plants back to 6 to 10 inches before spring growth starts. Plants die back in colder areas, but grow back strongly from their roots. Flowers are love- ly in fl oral arrangements. 4 inch pots. ❍
