AL, Tuscaloosa: Sewell-Thomas Stadium Renovation and expansion of ballpark. New locker rooms, a weight room and an indoor batting facility. New seating, a revamped concourse, skyboxes and club lounges. Architect: Davis Architects Inc. Cost $30m

AZ, Phoenix: Sun Devil Stadium Redevelopment for home of Arizona State University sport. North end zone will be demolished in December. Exact renovation plans uncertain. Cost $300m (est)

CA, Los Angeles (Industry): NFL Stadium Proposed new NFL stadium at the 60/57 freeway junction. Nestles into hillside, with all suites and VIP areas on one side and integrated into the adjacent retail promenade. Multisport, 365 day venue. Green: LEED  Realty Architects: Aedas, Populous.


Capacity 75,000-80,000 Cost $800m


CA, Oakland: Cisco Field Proposed stadium for MLB team to replace McAfee Coliseum, to include residential or commercial development. Planning on site in suburban Fremont purchased from Cisco. City looking at other land parcels, possible environmental impact report for a proposed 39,000-seat ballpark near Jack London Square. Architect: 360 Architecture.

CA, Pasadena: Rose Bowl Renovations in three phases. (General Manager Darryl Dunn, Architect Margo Mavridis). Inner bowl changes, new press box, restrooms, concessions and scoreboards,   Premium seats: 2,500 (500). Maintains historic look and  & Rouse (Janet Marie Smith). Structural engineering: Thornton Tomasetti.

Monterrey: Estadio de Fútbol Soccer and athletics in the Parque La Pastora recreational and leisure destination. Developer: Estadio Internacional Monterrey (César Esparza). Architect: Populous. Construction: Maiz Mier. Roof: 55 metre cantilevered. Capacity 80,000 Cost US$200m

of america AL: Birmingham Dome Downtown dome stadium with convention space. Developer: BJCC Board of Authority (Executive Director Jack Fields). Architect: Populous plus local architect. Capacity 57,500 (expandable 70,000) Cost $550m (Finance: city $66m)
