Exhibition G2E LAS VEGAS 2013 A TRULY DAZZLING PERFORMANCE
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2013, Aruze Gaming America showed its diversity of products at G2E Las Vegas
Aruze’s focus at this year’s G2E was on titles that would build on its record of success. The G-SERIES video products are led by the Ultra Stack series of games. New Ultra Stack titles include: Ultra Stack Diamond, Ultra Stack Bison, Ultra Stack Vampire Night, and Ultra Stack Feature Rose. Aruze also introduced the stand-alone progressive versions of Ultra Stack Diamond Jackpot, Ultra Stack Panda Jackpot, and Ultra Stack Vampire Night Jackpot. Other G-SERIES games including Wolf 500G, Dragon 500G, King Eagle, and Hungry Bear.
Aruze also introduced the latest stepper titles from its Innovator library of games. All Innovator models feature Radiant Reels, a revolutionary spin on stepper technology that is designed with large reels, dynamically illuminated multi-coloured LED lights, and variable spin speeds; all of which combine to
build player anticipation for winning combinations. The Innovator Deluxe platform, with eye-catching top boxes, will be expanded to include Ultimate Diamond, Platinum Jackpot, and Mystical Egypt. Ultimate Diamond is quipped with an enormous Diamond-themed topper; this 5-reel 5 line deluxe stepper is expected to attract players’ attention with its bright diamond themed top box and LED lights which flash differently when there is a chance for a big win. Played at a recommended denomination of 1¢, this signature anniversary Innovator Deluxe offers the DIAMOND FREE GAMES and an increased chance of “7” wins.
The standard Innovator series welcomed several new themes to the family such as Circus Clown, Howling Wolf, The Great Inca and the new 4+1 reel game Golden Frontier featuring the EXTRA REEL. The fifth-reel in Golden Frontier is utilised as a multi-action EXTRA REEL interacting with the top monitor’s bonus event to morph the reel display into and out of various awards or bonuses with creative lighting technology and innovative play mechanics.
Attendees of this year’s show were additionally introduced to the latest Aruze two-player, side-by- side, G-LINK title SINBAD. SINBAD features a head-to- head player experience in the VERSUS EVENTS. This game features Sinbad and the game’s cast of characters that live out their adventures to conquer monsters in a quest for exciting awards.
This high hit frequency bonus driven game is played out on a communal sixty-inch overhead monitor. Also on display was the ever-popular Rich Life and Amazon Fishing games that always draw a crowd. Finally, rounding out Aruze’s booth at the G2E gaming show was the G-STATION product line, of which Aruze showcased its award winning Lucky Big Wheel and Shoot to Win Craps.
GLI EUROPE EXPANDS CLIENT SERVICES
GLI Europe is expanding its services and assistance to clients by closing the gap between regulators and industry
GLI Europe is stepping up its regulatory activity in Europe in order to work more closely with government agencies, regulators and its gaming clients. Speaking to GLI Europe's Managing Director, Martin Britton at G2E 2013, he explained that early awareness of new developments and changes at the legislative level are the critical elements the company is currently focusing upon.
"We are working with regulators and legislators to improve government relations across Europe to ensure that GLI is abreast of all new developments and emerging markets from a technical, regulatory standpoint," stated Mr. Britton. "We have a wealth of Global knowledge and expertise that can be passed onto regulators to assist in setting out a regulatory framework or assist with specific topics. Our goal is to be able to give key clients a briefing as to the changes taking place in Europe and explain exactly how new regulations will affect their businesses."
GLI has always been a service provider to its clients, but the advantage of working on the

lobbying side of government relations means that the company can not only supply products and services, but also act as a partner to companies needing first-hand information about market shifts and new developments. "We see the need to help assist at the front-end of certification," expanded Mr. Britton, "Helping clients to understand emerging regulation, to understand and interpret the rules correctly and try to avoid the stop-start scenario we've seen with so many businesses looking to enter new markets. We can help them through the process as a partner to their business from start to finish."
GLI's close relationship with regulators, as is obvious from the Roundtable events that GLI stages throughout the world each year, is of enormous benefit to its clients who require clear, concise and most importantly, the right information about the markets they're looking to enter. "GLI is already involved in consulting to regulators," said Mr. Britton. "We are expanding this level of consultancy to our clients in order to help them in emerging markets to enable them to seize opportunities at the earliest stages of a market's development. We're looking to take clients down a standardised route that benefits everyone."
Aside from land-based and iGaming regulation, GLI is also examining social gaming in the context of advisory standards, something that's currently the hot topic among industry regulators. "The ground rules for social gaming are currently being addressed and established," stated Mr. Britton. "The discussions surrounding due diligence are taking place right now that will shape the future direction of social gaming regulation. It's important to be part of that process, rather than reacting to it after the fact."
The next GLI University European Roundtable event will take part in Rome, May 22-23, 2014.
