Inspired Gaming Group presented its latest Eclipse, BetBOX and Virtual Sports solutions at the G2E show in Vegas

At the G2E Las Vegas exhibition Inspired Gaming Group's CEO, Luke Alvarez, summarised the last 12 months as: "A year of focused momentum," which in layman's terms describes a company that's on something of a roll. The current trajectory of the UK-based business has surpassed all expectations in the domestic market, adding 2,500 machine positions over the course of 2013, providing its digital content and platforms to over 50 per cent of the market in the UK, with customer incomes out-stripping all competitors. The latest incarnation of Inspired's Sabre has secured 65 per cent of the electronic roulette market in the UK, a sector that's now dominated by Inspired. International market expansion now sees the company generating 40 per cent of its income from non-UK markets, with the announcement at G2E of the addition of Lottomatica as a third concessionaire win in Italy likely to propel that figure towards the 50 per cent mark for 2014.

"Our VLT machines in venues are generating incremental incomes, our Virtual Sports content is cross-platform and worldwide – and soon to be available across over 100 websites in Italy (with Microgame) and in over 12,000 Italian betting shops and corners," describes Mr. Alvarez. "We have new VLT contracts, new jurisdictions, new virtual deals in sub-Saharan Africa, CIS, the People's Republic of China and Latin America. We have a series of announcements still to come as we're seeing lots of expansion right now. It's a lively gaming market and our footprint in the UK and Italy continues to see lots of volume growth. We're No.1 in the UK and in the top three in Italy for VLTs and No.1 in the world for Virtual Sports. We're showing in Vegas the latest tablet and mobile distribution channels for our digital content having secured our virtual products with such major providers as William Hill and BetFred. We've also had a lot of interest at this show for our BetBOX solution, which is going to be an interesting product in the US."

According to Inspired's Lucy Buckley, the BetBOX product from Inspired is an ideal solution for US racinos and casino sports books looking to provide additional Virtual Sports races during the

lulls between live events. "BetBox is a perfect product for sports book operators in the US who have the TV infrastructure in place already, but need something to show when there’s no live racing happening. Virtual Sports are the perfect entertainment filler in between live racing because operators can control the event schedule and the margins," said Ms. Buckley. "The integrated bet management system prints a ticket from the wireless tablet cashier or kiosk cashier, from which the player can then redeem their wins. We're very excited about this product and we've been inundated with enquiries on the stand, so we're looking forward to rolling out BetBOX in the near future to betting shops, casinos and lottery operators. We're also launching our ninth Virtual Sports game in October, Virtual Darts."

An Inspired product that's not gaming or betting, but has the potential to be bigger in China than rice, is Inspired's lottery product driven by its Virtual Sports games. Lucky Racing is a motorsports-based virtual racing lottery product that's live in Hunan Province in China and Inspired hopes will be live nationwide in the future. Inspired is also anticipating the launch of another virtual sports game in the very near future, with its partner, AGTech,

Finally, it's been two months since the launch of Inspired's new Eclipse cabinet and there's already 1,000 live in the UK with just under 10,000 to be installed by the end of Q1 2014 with operators such as William Hill, Betfred and Paddy Power. A fabulous looking machine from all angles, new content is also driving the Eclipse into locations in the UK with Inspired's in-house studio pushing out one new game per month in addition to third- party games suppliers. Shown in Las Vegas, the company's Diamond Goddess is Inspired's most successful game ever in the UK and is already blazing a trail onto mobile, tablets and will be part of Inspired's game range for the Italian VLT/Comma 6a+ market.
