Exhibition G2E LAS VEGAS 2013 FUN, FUN, FUN

Konami Gaming’s G2E presentation was guide by the principles of fun and performance with a dash of brilliance

At G2E this year, Konami Gaming was focused on showing the industry that it is a company ‘born from fun and built to perform.’ Visitors to the Konami booth experienced a wide range of innovative, new products that demonstrated the Konami principle: games that are fun to play, perform, and games that perform are fun for operators to have on their floors.

This year, Konami’s booth featured the following new products:

The Podium Monument, which is the latest member of the Podium family. This new cabinet has a standard Podium base but is enhanced with an oversized top box complete with a vertically mounted 32” monitor and internally lit bezel. The Podium Monument will be available with the full library of KP3 titles as well as an all new four- level progressive, Quick Strike Quad. Konami offer exclusive Podium Monument themes like Snow Stars and new Rock Around The Clock themes which capitalise on the vertical top box.

The Rapid Revolver attracted a great deal of attention at the show. In this new cabinet, Konami presented two distinct gaming concepts fused into one cabinet. The Rapid Revolver boasts a combination of a video reel primary game experience with six spinning reels, stacked and vertically-mounted in an oversized top box and surrounded by synchronised high-impact sound and lighting.

The Titan 360 debuted at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City this summer. This limited edition special was designed and released to highlight Konami’s ability to leverage its robust amusement and arcade heritage. This gigantic multi-station gaming experience drew the attention of show attendees and was described by many visitors to the booth as the most impressive new product at the show this year.

The SeleXion multi-game cabinet instantaneous switches between games and/or denominations. SeleXion includes a dynamic button panel and scrolling, multi-game attract mode designed to alert customers to the special functions available. Each SeleXion cabinet can feature up to 10 games with three denominations per game.

The Genie’s Power mystery linked progressive product features a seven-level progressive with

four different bonus feature games that determine the winning amount. Compatible with most KP3 titles, Genie’s Power improves on the standard mystery link progressive with interactive bonus features.

The Gigantic Wheel of Winning mystery progressive product is so big, Konami needed a cabinet the size of the Podium Goliath to fit this game. When the mystery event is triggered, players spin the Gigantic Wheel and are awarded the corresponding prize for where the wheel stops. Featuring a two-level stand-alone progressive, this mystery bonus game is compatible with most KP3 titles and includes an operator configurable ‘double-up feature’ where

the player has a true 50/50 chance at doubling their winnings.

Quick Strike Triple is a three level ‘must-hit by’ mystery progressive product based on Konami’s popular Quick Strike. With three levels of operator defined settings, Quick Strike Triple brings additional excitement and flexibility to this stand- alone progressive.

Finally, Dragon’s Law is a KP3 XtraReward game that features a dragon that randomly provides additional wilds to the video slot reels. The dragon can deliver the wilds before or after any spin and is guaranteed to appear at least once during the up to 20 free games feature.

BEST-IN-CLASS PERFORMANCE

Advantech-Innocore recorded its best ever Vegas exhibition at G2E 2013 thanks to a dynamic product line-up

Advantech-Innocore declared G2E 2013 as its most successful ever after the launch of the company's first Xeon Gaming Board (DPX- S435) and low cost secure Jamma platform (DPX-E130) at the exhibition in Las Vegas.

With a record number of customer meetings and new sales leads, G2E 2013 was the most successful ever for Advantech-Innocore, which unveiled two new products; the DPX- S435, the first Intel Xeon capable gaming motherboard, and the DPX-E130, a new fully integrated platform for the upcoming regulation changes in Italy. Also on show were a carefully selected line-up of some of Advantech’s 2000 products including digital signage controllers, LCD monitors, embedded motherboards, embedded computing modules, long lifecycle graphics cards.

However it was the DPX-S435 that received most interest. Customers were intrigued to see that the board supports the Intel Xeon brand of CPUs, which are traditionally associated with server class platforms.

Being the latest in Advantech-Innocore's very popular DPX-S series, the DPX-S435 gives existing customers an easy migration to a much higher class of performance with a board that is compatible with all the other boards in the S series. It can even save costs since the DPX-S435 comes with a large range of Intel 4th Generation Core CPUs from which to choose. It means that customers could benefit from a less-expensive CPU than their current platform of choice.

The other hot products at G2E were the digital signage controllers. Advantech has a wide range of digital signage controllers ranging from very low cost ARM RISC based products, to Intel Core i-7 based systems and Intel OPS standard format controllers.
