Aristocrat shone brightly at G2E with its new design teams and hefty TV and movie licences delivering real impact
The difference that game designer, Joe Kaminkow, made to the Aristocrat Technologies stand in Vegas, despite being with the company for just a few months before the event, was instant and dramatic. The front of the Aristocrat stand was packed with new licences with thrilling new games features and mechanics, including the stunning triple wheels for both Batman and Superman games.
Another new recruit, the High 5 team, having created some of the industry's biggest slots games in the past for IGT, presented a series of games created for Aristocrat at G2E as part of the changing face of the Australian gaming company that’s now matching its US rivals blow for blow.
The company, which is celebrating its 60th birthday this year, delivered a line-up of new game titles, mechanics and franchises at G2E 2013 bigger than ever before. More than 200 new games were on show at G2E, with the new Batman Classic TV Series Slot Game powered by Wonder Wheels, an exciting $250,000 multi-site progressive with a brand new mechanical wheel package, taking pride of place. Each player gets their own wheel plus a bonusing wheel for the game-bank. The action comes to life in the MVP cabinet with a large portrait-style top-box screen for bonuses and is punctuated with Aristocrat’s surround sound iChair.
Completely new to the industry is the independent wheel function of Wonder Wheels, which allows the players on the bank to continue uninterrupted when another player hits a trigger and engages wheel-mode.
Zombies continue to dominate our screens and G2E was no exception. Based on AMC’s Emmy Award-winning, hit TV show “The Walking Dead,” Aristocrat’s The Walking Dead Slot Game is larger than life, housed in the VERVEhd cabinet, where video clips and images from the show come to life with HD video and sound, combined with Aristocrat’s surround sound iChair. Twice named the Best Game in the Goldman Sachs Slot Managers Survey, Buffalo continues to be a runaway hit. Now the franchise is expanding with the all new Buffalo Stampede. This all-new game is in the VERVEhd cabinet and features progressive jackpots, higher multipliers and new high-paying features, while maintaining the essence of the original hit game.
The all-new Wonder 4 Stars builds on the success of the popular Wonder 4 series, and incorporates a collect-style feature in the bonus, where players collect symbols to win big in the free games. Players can enjoy playing four of their favourite games at the same time, and their free games are also played in a four-window format regardless of which game triggered the bonus.
More Power is a new game category that builds on the strength of Aristocrat’s Reel Power category. In More Power, players collect symbols to unlock more ways to win during the free games, and can unlock Super Reel Power for up to 3,125 ways to win.
