fectly. When checked against drawings, the Broadway Limited model is spot on. All of the details that should be on this model are represented.
The
handrails are nicely molded in white which is correct for this particular model, and the steps and walkways have the correct tread pattern which is a nice detail. Since most people view their models from high above, this will be very noticeable. The cab has an en- gineer figure perched in his seat look- ing out over the long hood. This figure is very noticeable from outside the model and is a nice touch. The free standing grab irons are something that I would normally have to add to my models so I really appreciate Broad- way Limited doing that work for me. The paint on this model is gorgeous.
The color of the paint matches the green plastic molded truck side frames and fuel tank almost perfectly. This is something that most manufacturers tend to miss. The white lettering is clean and neatly applied, and the “Safety First”
lettering is printed
across louvers on the long hood and is done very well. I don’t know how they do the lettering that well but they pulled it off. Even the small “safety first” and “watch your step” lettering is clearly printed.
I love the EMD builder’s plate that is applied on the white sill stripe below the cab. I usually have to use a decal and add my own but that is not neces- sary here. The cab window glazing has a silver sill outline around the side windows. These sliding windows, while
