Words: HELENE STOKES FASHION THUXURY DROPS Crooks & Castles F/W13 collection aims to please…

THERE’S A WHOLE bunch of impressive conceptual know how that goes on behind each and every collection that a fashion label produces. This coming season is no exception for Crooks & Castles, kings of the urban streetwear brigade, who release their Thuxury capsule. And we’re going to stick our necks out and declare it to be their best yet. Large, bold graphics mixed up with mahoosive prints of luxury watch images, a Monogram Capsule that inches in tonal prints and seriously buff wool baseball jackets, sweatpants, baseball tees and a heady headwear collection. EYE EYE! Mishka’s got New York style nailed…

BASED AT 350 BROADWAY, Brooklyn, Mishka has already enjoyed over ten years of NY streetwear credibility. And did you also know that Mishka means bear cub in Russian? Bless. There’s nothing cute or cuddly about their latest collection though. It’s as fierce as fierce can be. The video that accompanies their lookbook shows its colorful explosions and animal pattern frenzies perfectly, with the aid of Flex dancers Vibez and Jay Donn body popping some crazy shapes. Geometric patterns on shirts and knitwear, camo jackets and bright turquoise sneakers matched up with bobble hats and their trademark snapbacks. Big like. MISHKANYC.COM
