TECH AWARDS 2013 EDITOR’S CHOICE AWARD UAD-2SATELLITE


ONCE AGAIN, this year’s Tech Awards was a close contest. It is always going to be a difficult task when it comes to any process where there is a public vote to determine what can be considered the best. Sometimes a piece of kit could be far superior to the obvious winner but maybe hasn’t quite caught the imagination of the masses just yet. So as of last year, we have decided once again to award one standout product with the Editor’s Choice Award. This is recognition for a product that has excelled, and whilst not having captured the hearts of the public in this vote yet, is definitely worthy of praise.


TECH EDITOR MICK WILSON SAYS: “The UAD-2 Satellite was chosen as this little box of delights is a true studio warrior’s weapon of choice, offering virtual replications of some of the finest studio hardware ever to have graced the planet. Essentially, the UAD-2 turns any humble laptop/computer into a powerhouse of a recording set-up — ask many dance producers what they ‘Can’t Live Without’, and the UAD is top of the list. A piece of kit worthy of a DJ Mag Tech award.”
