Hager’s Tebis KNX provides community flexibility Hager’s Tebis KNX bus system has provided a flexible lighting control solution for Dali addressable LED lighting in a large, multi-purpose room at Futures Housing Group’s headquarters. The 130m2

room is used for meetings, a number of

community events, training by the housing group and is hired out to other organisations. Futures Housing chose Dali addressable LED fittings

from Fosnova as part of its green agenda to save energy. As a multi-purpose room, Futures Housing needed

a control solution that could set different lighting scenarios and was easy to understand. The KNX solution from Hager offered flexible control and easy installation. The wireless controls need no cable runs and can be stuck anywhere on the wall. Using KNX the wiring accessories offers both preset scenes and diming control. Users can choose from fully on, fully off, dimmed right down for a movie or video, partially dimmed for a presentation where people want to take notes, and dimming up or dimming down control by the user. n Call 01952 675612 or visit www.hager.co.uk

New weather distribution box from WAGO WAGO’s new standardized flexROOM Weather Distribution box effectively collects and processes weather data, while providing information directly to the office distribution box. It also features a time- switching function, enabling operators to centrally control various switching operations for room automation via up to 10 channels. This allows switching processes or setpoint changes for lighting, shading and individual room control (heating/ cooling) to be initiated and

processes for day/night/week-end or vacation mode to be defined. Comprehensive data (such as. temperature,

humidity, brightness, twilight) from external weather sensors, as well as wind speed/direction from wind sensors, can be successfully integrated via analog and digital inputs equipped with WINSTA connectors. Limit value monitoring for wind alarm and frost protection ensures that external blinds are moved into a safe position in the event of extreme weather conditions. The system operator can also define up to 64 different building facades, allowing the blinds and slats to be moved into seven different positions depending on the height and direction of sunlight. n www.wago.com

Legrand launches new Zucchini catalogue Legrand has launched a new 130-page catalogue for its Zucchini busbar range, providing specifiers with a more comprehensive reference guide to Zucchini products than ever before. With one of the most comprehensive ranges of prefabricated busbar systems on the market, Zucchini offers the solution to a wide range of power distribution requirements, from 25A lighting busbar to 6300A high power systems. The new catalogue provides a full guide to all Legrand’s low, medium

and high power Zucchini busbar systems, including all tap-offs and accessories. The publication includes the new LB PLUS busbar, which replaces the Zucchini LB, HL and SL ranges, covering all lighting and small power distribution needs, from 25A to 63A with a single product. The MS, MR and SCP ranges then cover all applications with requirements greater than 63A, with the larger busbars available with either copper or aluminium conductors. Configured in a choice of standard, clean earth or 200 per cent neutral versions, the SCP range is designed to work perfectly with Zucchini EdM cast resin transformers. n www.legrand.co.uk or call 0845 600 6266

WAGO offers shorter strain relief housing for restricted spaces WAGO has developed a shorter strain relief housing for pluggable electrical installations in extremely space- restricted conditions. Suitable for all 2-pole plugs and sockets within the MINI Series of WINSTA pluggable connectors, the new snap-on type strain relief housing is 15mm shorter than existing MINI versions. This makes it particularly well suited for pluggable electrical installations in extremely space-restricted conditions, such as connecting LED lights. The strain relief housing is available in black and white. The WINSTA MINI 2-pole plugs and sockets are designed for cable diameters from 3.8mm to 8.2mm. The new strain relief housing can be snapped onto connectors featuring any coding configuration. Due to the shorter strip length of 15mm, both conductors are terminated simultaneously during plug/socket wiring. Parallel opening of the two clamping units can be easily performed via two-way operating tools. Both clamp and strain relief housing’s base/cover are latched together manually. Screwless mounting provides quick and easy operation. n www.wago.com
