Travel If the native hard wood is too heavy on your

eyes you can always opt to stay in the more modern Knights Suite, which lends itself to a more contemporary twist. A stylish Annex, it has been purposely crafted as an ideal venue for special occasions, conferences and corporate events. Te glass-topped atrium invites a natural ambience for an elegant reception and leads into an open space that has the potential to accommodate 160 guests (120 if a dance area is required) or four individual function rooms. Te staff at Mallory Court will go to every measure to create whatever you envisage, with a private bar (licensed until 1 am), grand piano and chefs on hand. Even the menu is personalised to the last detail. Te suite also houses 11 double bedrooms, which can be reserved exclusively for complete privacy during your stay. Te Knights Suite is also home to the Brasserie. Te art-deco design and spacious conservatory favours a relaxed atmosphere to accompany the broad-spectrum of dishes on the menu. Don’t be misled by the modest prices (£19.50 for a set three course meal), the dining at the Brasserie, whether a British signature or European-inspired choice, is guaranteed to leave you feeling satisfied. After my hot chocolate fondant tart, banana and Cointreau ice cream (which I recommend) it becomes clear why the venue has been awarded AA Rosettes to recognise their excellence. For those fond of the culinary arts Mallory

Court has its very own dining room acquiescent to your needs, highly commended with three AA rosettes. Although breakfast was fairly pedestrian, of an evening this oak panelled restaurant provides a traditional air of elegance whilst

sampling the exquisite cuisine of award-winning chef Simon Haigh. Simon was decorated with his first Michelin star in 2002 and for ten consecutive years has retained the most prestigious of awards in the arena of fine dining. Te ingenious infusion of flavours bends the boundaries of stereotypical food combinations taught in conventional cookery. Although at first a little skeptical I was quick to discover each course was handcrafted to tease your taste buds and take your palate beyond familiarity. All the fresh produce is harvested from the homelands of Warwickshire agriculture or cultured in the kitchen gardens of Mallory

Court itself, to ensure an optimal standard befitting to each season. And if you really wish to explore the versatility of the Dining Room you can relish the six innovative courses on the tasting menu (£130 per person inclusive of wine), with a sommelier on hand to recommend a wine to complement each serving. So whatever the purpose of you travels, Mallory

Court succeeds in captivating the charm of the Warwickshire countryside whilst hosting its guest in a first-class luxury setting.
