he Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita is set among a vast swathe of land on the east coast of this beautiful island nation,


with the resort encompassing a natural park and a stunning 72 par 18-hole golf course. Located around 45 minutes transfer away from the international airport, the Four Seasons accommodates dozens of splendid individual residences throughout the 64- acre private sanctuary, making it one of the largest estates in the country. We were housed in one of the Garden Pool Villas for our three night stay, and found it

to be the most romantic of private retreats. Each individual villa boasts a private plunge pool, with day bed and recliners. Our villa was accentuated by a landscaped private garden. King-sized beds and luxury linens come as standard, and we were wowed by the spacious bathroom, with feature bath and rain shower and complemented by an exquisite range of L’Occitane bathroom products. On our first full day we ordered a romantic


breakfast to our villa. To say this experience exceeded all our expectations would be an understatement. We drew back the curtains to our private patio to behold a feast of


goodies, all delivered in stealth like fashion to provide a welcome surprise as we rose from our slumber. A selection of juices, coffees, teas, baked breads and chopped fresh fruit were all presented for our delectation, together with chocolate fondue, home baked cakes and heart shaped bagels with smoked salmon and champagne. With a butler service and in-villa


entertainment available on request, these residences are so welcoming you could happily take up permanent residence there. But with so much to occupy your time in the wider resort, not to mention the
