gorgeous scenery, you won’t be able to resist heading further afield. Even if it’s not your sport you should

consider a round of golf here, if only for the stunning views that greet you at every turn. Te Ernie Els-designed course really is a sight to behold, with a driving range and coaching on offer. I really couldn’t think of a more pleasant setting to learn the game. More to my personal taste was the one- to-one Hatha yoga session overlooking the

lagoon. I enjoyed this so much I think I may have discovered a new recreation for when I’m home in the UK. We also sampled a revitalising spa treatment, with the facility open from morning ‘til night at the resort. While my husband enjoyed the aromatherapy I sampled the ‘Coconut and aloe island ritual’. Tis included full body exfoliation with dried coconut, fresh aloe, honey and coconut body mask, scalp and lomi lomi massage, and occupied two and half joyous hours. Te treatments left us in blissful hypnosis, without a care in the world. Feeling re-energised and refreshed, we had our pick of three resort swimming pools, with a further children’s pool. Te ‘California-edge pool’ overflows into the Infinity-edge pool, which, in turn, offers the sensation of floating above the lagoon as you cast your gaze to the neighbouring islands and the broad horizon. Te Beau Champ contemporary grill is the

venue for the à la carte breakfasts, located over the water’s edge to enable you to watch the tropical fish swimming below. As an evening option, we enjoyed a hosted dinner at the open air Italian restaurant ‘Acquapazza’ overlooking the lagoon. We sampled an assortment of specialities, including the carpaccio beef and the ravioli, which was simply excellent. Te poolside Bambou Restaurant, which specialises in Pan Asian cuisine and served up some phenomenal sushi, proved an excellent lunch time option. Four Seasons Mauritius at Anahita really is five- star living in all its splendour.
