Products Cabling & Cable Management Thousands of cables for next working day delivery
With over 3,000 products on the shelf and another 5,000 on short lead times, FS Cables, the UK cable distributor, offers thousands of cables for next working day delivery.
Cables include data, many in PVC or LSHF sheaths or in duct grade
or SWA. Telephone cables are also included such as CW1308, CW1128 and CW1198, YY / SY / CY multi-core control cables, security cables including alarm, access control and fire performance cables. Coaxial cables for CCTV, broadcast and telecommunication are also popular, as are cables for building control and automation including certified KNX cables.
Cables for specialist applications such as rubber cables and high temperature wires are also stocked. FS Cables can provide both custom manufactured products or modifications to an existing cable - for example armouring, oversheathing or a duct grade jacket for exte- rior use. Quantities on these can often be as low as 100m. Next working day delivery is standard to UK mainland and is free on orders over £100. Pre 9.00am, 10.30am, 12.00 noon and even same day (distance permitting) deliveries are also available for urgent shipments. There is no cut off time for orders - if FS Cables can cut and pack the order it will be dispatched the same day. FS Cables also cuts to length on many products offering the customer both a cost saving and reduced wastage.
All available cables are listed on the FS Cables website (www.fsca-
bles.com) or in the company’s free cabling guide ‘The Little Red Book’ - a cabling companion either on-site or in the office. Extended to 176 pages and increased in size to A5, a host of new products and updated technical tables are included.
Full colour codes for American/European and UK standards are included, as are AWG/Metric conversion charts, stranding charts and guides to cable standards and low smoke halogen-free cabling. FS Cables

Enter 233 Strain relief with new flexible conduit fittings
Flexicon has extended its range of FPA and FPAX fast fit flexible con- duit fittings to include integrated cable glands that provide cable strain relief when using non-metallic flexible conduit systems. Flexible conduit is installed into FPA and FPAX fittings by sim- ply pushing it into place and twisting to secure. The all round teeth on the fitting provide a secure fit with a high pull off strength of 70kg with the 21mm FPAH flexible conduit. The system has been vibration and shock tested to EN 61373 Cat 2 and is tamper resis- tant to help maintain system integrity.
The new cable gland fittings have an IP rating of IP68 or IP69k for the FPAX system and IP66 for the FPA system and can with- stand temperature ranges of -40°C to 100°C for static applications
and -20°C to 100°C for dynamic applications. They are available in straight, 45° elbow or 90° elbow deriva- tives with both of the latter incorporating a swept bore for easy cable installation and to protect the cables when they are installed. These products can be used with either fine or coarse pitch non-metallic flexible conduit in diameters from 13mm to 54mm. Cable diameter clamping ranges are from 4.5mm to 35mm depending on size.
The company has also developed a range of flexible conduit fit- tings, with integrated cable glands, for use with metallic conduits. Flexicon
