AGO's new 3-phase power measurement modules provide voltage, current and many other measurement parameters, ensuring more effective monitoring of energy consumption. The 750-49x modules (part of the fieldbus-independent WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750 range) transmit metrics including reactive/apparent/effective power, energy consumption, power factor, phase angle, frequency, over-/under-voltage directly into the module. This eliminates the need for external measuring equipment, reducing measurement costs nearly ten- fold. Besides energy consumption measurement and harmonic analysis,

the modules also feature

additional functions for comprehensive grid analysis, allowing grid disturbances to be localised (e.g., interference spikes). Insulation faults can also be detected using measurement in the N-conductor. The 4-quadrant display indicates the type of load (inductive, capacitive) and whether it is an energy consumer or producer.

common supply busbars; switching UPS systems and generators on to common supply busbars; and controlling the supply from multiple incomers. Castell has been safeguarding electrical networks for over 90 years. The ability to work across high-,

medium- and low-voltage applications means that a single Castell system can be used to provide personnel safety and ensure equipment is operated in the correct way.

E-UK Controls now supplying new distribution terminals from Ouneva

-UK Controls have announced that they are now able to supply from stock two new high quality distribution terminals from Finnish electrical component specialist Ouneva, which feature terminals designed to fit different cable diameter ranges. Use of Ouneva’s OJL connectors is recommended when there is a requirement to connect and branch aluminium and copper cables. The 200A rated terminal accepts an input cable of 10 - 70 sq mm and 6 output cables of 2.5 - 16 sq mm. The 250A rated terminal accepts an

input cable of 35 - 120 sq mm and a total of 11 outputs, 2 at 6 - 35 sq mm, 5 at 2.5 - 16 sq mm, and 4 at 2.5 - 10 sq mm. The units, which can be DIN rail mounted or base mounted, are modular in design, with tin plated aluminium bodies and tightening screws and high quality plastic insulating covers.

manufacturer, Ellis, have been specified for use in a project aimed at converting coal seam gas into liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Australian state of Queensland. BG Group’s Queensland Curtis LNG is on track to be the first project in the world to convert natural gas from coal seams into LNG, in 2014.

Ellis Emperor cable cleats were specified by Thiess Pty, which was engaged by to construct seven processing plants. The reason for the specification, which was secured by Ellis’ Australian distributor, Sydney-based IPD Industrial Products, was down to the product’s capability to withstand possible 111kA peak system faults. Furthermore, the Emperor’s 316L stainless steel construction means it is ideal for use in the harsh Australian conditions.
