2013 Fall Indoor Adult Volleyball Leagues
Get a group of friends together and join a Downers Grove Park District volleyball league this fall. There are Men’s, Women’s and Co-Rec leagues that will fit any ability or competitiveness. Each division will play a 10-game season. All games are officiated with USVA rules. League play is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of September 9.
Teams may register any time after their priority date on a first-come, first- served basis until all slots are filled. Register as soon as possible after your priority date listed below:
Returning Resident Teams register beginning Monday, July 8 at 9:00 a.m.
New Resident Teams (60% of team members residing or employed in Downers Grove) register beginning Monday, July 15 at 9:00 a.m.
Returning Non-Resident Teams register beginning Monday, July 22, at 9:00 a.m.
New Non-Resident Teams register beginning Monday, July 29, at 9:00 a.m.
Registration deadline is August 26. Teams registering prior to August 26 will be guaranteed a place in the league.
Roster forms are available at the Lincoln Center, Recreation Center or online at
dgparks.org. A $100 entry fee, roster (name, address and signatures) and proof of residency or employment in Downers Grove (for new resident participants) are due at the time of registration.
Individuals wishing to be placed on a team may call the Park District at 630.960.7250 before August 26 (leave a name and phone number) to be put on a “free agent” list for captain’s requesting additional players.
Mandatory Captain’s Meeting: Thursday, August 29, 6:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center.

Downers Grove Adult Softball Adult Soccer
The Adult Soccer program is a great way to meet new people and get some exercise. This self-paced program is ideal for participants of all skill levels. Program consists of ten minutes of warm-ups followed by pick-up style games ranging from small-side to full-field matches. No class July 3.

Summer City Championship The summer season is not over yet. End the season with this weekend double- elimination tournament. The games will start at 10:00 a.m. on July 27, and end on July 28. There are four divisions including Men’s Rec, Men’s Competitive, Women’s 11-inch and Co Rec. All games
will be played at McCollum Park Ball Field 3 and 4 and game balls will be provided. Team rosters are due on Friday, July 26. Cash prizes are awarded for the winners of each division. Registration deadline is July 18.
