Two screws hold the wipers in place and a diagram shows the orientation. Wires soldered to tabs on the wipers poke through a hole in the floor next to the truck bolster. The hole is there al- ready so no drilling is necessary. Once the wiring is fed through the floor, it is soldered to the decoder. Again, the in- structions are clearly written making it difficult to wire the decoder incor- rectly. Once the wires are soldered to the decoder the board is placed in the ceiling on two mounting bars. A little bit of finessing of the wires to hide them from view and you are good to go. The roof simply presses back into place and it becomes virtually impossible to tell that any work was done to the car or that a decoder is sitting just below the roof of the car.

The installation of the supplied elec- trical wipers on the trucks is a breeze.


The car lighting is supplied by three surface mounted LED’s on the decoder board. They provide a nice warm in- candescent looking light which is even throughout the coach. There are no hot spots inside the car. The decoder also features a capacitor, which eliminates flickers from dirty track. This decoder
