Correction In my article “Making switch locks from phono plugs and jacks” in the July 2012 RMC, I erroneously stated in the text that the resistors were not ab- solutely necessary but this is false. The resistors are required. However, the di- agram is correct but I can see that it may be confusing at two points as it looks like the wires should be connect-

Rare models I was surprised to see the announce- ment in the Feb. RMC in the HO scale product news of the recent 1902 FGE reefer kit issued by my partner Bob Mc- Glone and me. We make all inclusive, resin based, limited run kits of 1900 era rolling stock of prototypes that were never available in kit form or in some cases were discontinued kits from now defunct companies. I do not make up any kits for “stock” and the number of kits produced is based on good-faith ad- vanced reservations. The number of kits produced range from 20 to 50. Once they are sold, the run is over.
I e-mail illustrated kit announce- ments and tell folks we are taking reser- vations. We have an extensive list of peo- ple but are always glad to add anyone else. Just send an e-mail address to me
jcan2x@hotmail.com. We also announce the kits on the Yahoo chat group site “Early Rails” and depending on the pro- totype, other Yahoo group sites for spe- cial interest groups such as OWRS and Anthracite Roads.
