Diabetes Program St. Alexius Medical Center’s Diabetes Self Management program has been recognized by the American Diabetes Association since 1992. Services are delivered on an outpatient basis and require a physician referral. For information, call 847-490-2929.

Northwest Perinatal Loss Support Group Tis is a support group for parents who have lost a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, ectopic pregnancy or newborn death. It is sponsored by St. Alexius, Alexian Brothers and Northwest Community Hospital. Te group meets the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at 25 E. Schaumberg Rd., Suite 102. Parking is available in the back of the building. Registration is not necessary. For more information, call 847-490-6957.


Programs for Children 9-1-1 Kids: First-aid tips available for


school and community groups with children 8 to 13 years old. Operation Discover: Available to


introduce school groups of 3- to 7-year-olds to the hospital. Fit Kids: Free six-week program helps


kids and their families learn fun ways to promote healthy living, improve eating habits, stay fit and exercise. Call 866-ALEXIAN (866-253-9426).
