Behavioral Health Behavioral Health Services for patients experiencing emotional and psychological problems are available at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital, located directly east of St. Alexius Medical Center.
Breast Care Center Te Breast Care Center offers 3-D digital mammography for screening and diagnosis, breast ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy and bone densitometry. Genetic counseling is available for women who have a family history of breast cancer.
Cardiology Cardiac catheterization with angioplasty and stent placement, EKG, echocardiog- raphy (transthoracic and transesophageal), stress testing (exercise and pharmacologi- cal) and holter monitoring are performed. Test results are interpreted by a cardiolo- gist who is not an employee or agent of the hospital and who will bill separately for their service. Patients who require cardiac surgery may be transferred to Alexian Brothers Medical Center or a facility determined by you and your physician.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Cardiac Rehabilitation provides assistance to patients recovering from a heart attack or other serious heart problems. Te inpatient program consists of literature and videotapes for patient and family use, as well as assisted walking, dietary instruction and guidelines for home activity.
Diagnostic Imaging Diagnostic imaging includes a variety of radiologic procedures that take pictures of conditions inside of your body. Tese images help physicians make an accurate diagnosis and develop an appropriate treatment plan. Te radiologists are not employees or agents of the hospital and will bill separately for their services. Diagnostic Imaging procedures available at St.

Emergency/ Trauma Services Te Emergency Department at St. Alexius Medical Center is designated by the State of Illinois as a Level II Trauma Center. Staffed 24 hours a day, our emergency nursing personnel and board-certified emergency physicians are trained and certified in emergency and trauma care for patients of all ages. Te emergency physicians are not employees or agents of the hospital and will bill separately for their services.
CN EmergiKids A dedicated Pediatric Emergency Department that cares for children ages 0–17 (inclusive of 17), as well as those who are followed by a pediatrician up to age 21. Females 16 and older with female complaints will be treated as adults. CN EmergiKids is staffed by board- certified pediatric emergency physicians and operates from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. Te pediatric emergency physicians are not employees or agents of the hospital and will bill separately for their services.
