SHOW PREVIEW: INFOCOMM 2013 BTX Technologies will

introduce new fibre optic solutions for high-definition audio and video applications. BTX’s fibre product portfolio will include products from AFL, Belden, Gefen, Kramer, OCC, RDL, TE Connectivity and Telecast. The recently released 64 x 64 DigitalMedia switcher will feature on Crestron’s stand along with the company’s DigitalMedia Presentation System 300 (DMPS-300) with acoustic echo cancellation. The DMPS-300-C-AEC features full-bandwidth AEC on each of its six mic inputs to filter out disruptive echoes from voice communications during teleconferencing calls. It integrates directly with up to two audio or video codecs. Also on the company’s stand will be the new Saros in-ceiling speakers – available in 4in, 6.5in and 8in diameter. Crestron’s latest advanced Smart Graphics-powered family of smartphone and tablet-styled touchscreens will also be on show. The 5in TSW-550 is the newest and smallest addition, joining the previously released 7in TSW-750 and 10in TSW-1050. Furman’s stand will feature the CN-15MP and CN-20MP MiniPorts from the company’s Contractor Series. The units feature one pair of AC outlets with configurable delay on/off, while Extreme Voltage Shutdown circuitry protects connected equipment against under/overvoltage

conditions. The CN-15MP and CN-20MP offer 15A and 20A current capacity. When connected to a Furman SmartSequencer, equipment can be sequentially powered on/off across multiple zones with a simple button press or turn of a key. Remote control/monitoring is available via the BlueBOLT Cloud-based platform or third- party control systems when using a BB-RS232 adaptor with the SmartSequencer.

Riedel will present its MediorNet MN-HDO-4IO universal video card

Digital connectivity solutions provider Gefen will present several new extenders, including: the DVI ELR (Extra Long Range) Lite – capable of delivering DVI up to 70m using one Cat5 cable. Also showing is the DisplayPort KVM Extender over Cat7, which delivers dual-link DVI video with two USB 2.0 peripherals up to 30m using three Cat7 cables and the DisplayPort EDID Detective Plus, which prevents signal loss when extending DisplayPort video. Haivision will demonstrate its latest network and video recording and media management platform, Calypso, alongside its new online video management solution, Video Cloud. The company will also present its latest Android-based digital signage player, Mantaray, for use with its digital signage distribution network, CoolSign. Finally, it will show the highly bandwidth-efficient Makito X2 dual-channel H.264 encoder, which delivers 12 channels of 1080p60 with extremely low encoding latency of 55ms. Lightware USA, the US

distributor for Budapest- based Lightware Visual Engineering, will showcase the company’s new 25G Hybrid Technology, a line of digital matrix switchers which work in tandem with Lightware’s Modular Extender (MODEX) family of external signal extenders. Alongside this will be the company’s MX- TPS-IB input board, MX-TPS- OB output board for the MX series routers and HDMI-TPS- TX90 and RX90 long-distance HDMI signal extenders. Belgium-based developer of lighting control, pro audio and video data distribution equipment for the entertainment industry, LUMINEX Network Intelligence will make its first appearance at InfoComm showing its new range of

A range of Optocore MADI switches will be on the Clear-Com stand

Gigabit Ethernet switches with updated web-based user interface. Matrox Graphics will

present its new videowall controller boards, video distribution over IP solutions, and KVM extenders. Matrox Video will showcase video streaming and recording appliances along with multiviewers. Merging Technologies will

exhibit its latest Ovation Media Server and Sequencer, Ovation 4. The system will be demonstrated with Dataton’s

WATCHOUT multi-display production and playback system, with a sync connection being made over a standard IT network and frame-accurate lock between multiple timelines in WATCHOUT and audio cues in Ovation. Optocore will highlight its

new range of MADI switches on the Clear-Com booth. Equipped with 10 or 18 ports of MADI, the switches allow distribution over Cat5 cabling, in addition to MADI- over-fibre and MADI-over-

BNC. The RJ45 MADI ports on the new products will introduce greater flexibility, lower cost and simplified MADI connectivity. Additionally, each switch has two redundant high-speed 2GB fibre uplink ports that switch and route 16 MADI streams and Ethernet to create larger switches for bigger infrastructures. Riedel will present its MediorNet MN-C-OPT-HDMI and MN-HDO-4IO universal video cards supporting a variety of small form-factor
