Billed as the largest pro-AV show in the world, InfoComm returns to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando this month. With conferences from 8 to 14 June and the exhibition opening on 12 June, attendees can look forward to a packed schedule of education, training and technology debuts

WHAT?
DIGITAL SIGNAGE, unified communications, smart building and hospitality are just some of the themes that will be running through this year’s InfoComm show. From the conference, beginning on 8 June, through to the exhibition, which runs from 12 to 14 June, technology and educational opportunities from across these sectors and more will be on offer. The Digital Signage Pavilion, located on the show floor, will bring attendees together to see products from leading manufacturers, along with best practice presentations and training. The Digital Signage Presentation Stage, located within the pavilion, will feature case studies and

strategic advice throughout the event. Beyond the show floor The Digital Signage Training Sampler, offered by InfoComm University, will offer four new courses to address the opportunities and challenges of visual messaging and digital signage, including ‘Digital Signage in Universities’ and ‘Technology Trends in Digital Signage’.
In the field of unified communications, more than 100 manufacturers are participating in a 50,000sqft exhibitor floor pavilion showcasing cutting-edge products. The Collaborative Conferencing Program and Exhibit will address the challenges and opportunities
facing visual conferencing and unified communications solutions professionals. Topics up for discussion include ‘Unified Communications and Collaboration’, a full-day session on 11 June explaining how unified comms enters the meeting space from an AV perspective and exploring the current market, mobility, virtualisation and the Cloud. The IMCCA videoconferencing and telepresence association – which is a partner in the event – will also offer two days of training. InfoComm is also partnering with education provider SynAudCon to provide audio training to attendees. SynAudCon will present
‘Sound Reinforcement for Technicians’, a three-day multimedia seminar beginning on 9 June, with hands-on exercises for audio
technicians. A second course entitled ‘The Acoustical Site Survey’ will review methods to quantify acoustical qualities of a space and room metrics including clarity, reverberation and early-decay time. Through two co-located
