SHINE COLLECTION KÄHRS
Kährs has introduced its glamorous new Shine Collection; a stunning range of eight one-strip wood floors. Crafted from sustainable European oak, beech and ash, the range includes eight new designs with colour options spanning from pearly white to copper toned black. All ash and beech floors measure 2420x187x15mm and oak designs measure 1800x130x15mm. The stunning collection also features a high gloss, reflective lacquer sheen. Metallic infused wood grain adds further distinction to the surface.
All floors from the new Shine Collection feature Kährs eco- friendly multi-layered construction. Based on Kährs original design, patented in 1941, the award-winning construction uses hardwood down to the joint only, with fast-growing timber below. This design, alongside the Kährs glueless Woodloc® joint, provides 75% greater stability than a solid floor, eliminates gapping and promotes fast installation. Kährs high gloss prefinish, built-up over several thin layers, provides exceptional durability and easy maintenance, without compromising the timber’s natural lustre.
All designs are offered with a 30-year guarantee and can be laid on most dry, level surfaces including concrete, wood and over underfloor heating.

SCREEDMASTER RAPID DPM
BOSTIK
Screedmaster Rapid DPM from Bostik is the damp proof membrane (DPM) of choice for many professional flooring contractors.
This water based single part surface membrane provides a fast and effective way to damp-proof cementitious subfloors, including power floated concrete and sand/ cement screeds. Two coats will provide protection up to a maximum hygrometer reading of 95% RH with no priming required, and the no mix formula means it can be resealed and reused. The product will dry in up to an hour, which makes it ideal for jobs where quality work must be delivered in a tight timeframe. Most recently, Bostik Screedmaster Rapid DPM was used during the construction of a new care home in the West Midlands. A site visit from Bostik technical support staff confirmed that a DPM was required for some of the floorspace, and with deadlines for completion of the project tight, Bostik’s Screedmaster Rapid DPM was used as it allowed a high quality DPM to be laid and ready in as little as one hour.
