This one-of-a-kind documentary series gains exclusive access to the nation’s largest and busiest Royal Air Force station. Cameras have been allowed to enter the base to capture the operational work and lives of its servicemen and women and the aircraft that comprise its breathtaking fleet.
In operation since 1937, Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, has bravely served the country in pivotal moments in history, from D-Day, the Falklands, Kosovo and Iraq to the on- going conflict in Afghanistan. Serving UK Homeland Defence and NATO operations with its ‘Heathrow-style’ strategic air transport role, giant air-to-air refuelling aircraft and tactical support from its Hercules fleet, the site is the hub of the modern and future RAF, buzzing with action and anticipation.
