Kiefer Sutherland finds little safety in numbers as the US supernatural drama returns to Sky 1 HD
Having spent eight action-packed seasons in the seminal 24, Sutherland turned heads with his anticipated and innovative TV return, Touch. In its first season, the unfolding relationship between widower Martin Bohm (Sutherland) and his extraordinary 11-year-old son Jake (David Mazouz) struck a chord with viewers around the world.
Amid a continuous conflict with social services, it was discovered Jake’s ‘anti-social’ behaviour was in fact masking a unique gift. Communicating through numbers, the youngster sees patterns, a map of sorts, pinpointing people whose paths are meant to cross. It became Martin’s dangerous job to help make these connections.
The scope widens for the follow-up as Jake’s unusual talent has attracted unwanted attention from the mysterious Aster Corporation and Martin faces the fallout of his actions in the first season’s finale. Added to the equation as a series regular is Hollywood’s Maria Bello (A History of Violence, ER) as Lucy, the mother of a child who has a lot in common with Jake.

Spartacus: War of the Damned
Find out how the man becomes a legend in this closing chapter
The last-ever outing of the R-rated Roman thriller launches and has no intention of retiring quietly. Leaning on the button labelled ‘Glorious Excess’, creator Steven DeKnight promises that, “this season is on a scale you just can’t even imagine” – sentiments echoed by leading man Liam McIntyre: “It ends with every piece of epic that you expect from the show.”
Having built on the defeat of Commander Gaius Claudius Glaber with a string of major victories, Spartacus (McIntyre) now leads an army of more than 30,000 rebel slaves, and he’s set his sights on Rome’s corrupt elite. Alongside returning favourites like Crixus (Manu Bennett) and Gannicus (Dustin Clare), look out for new cast members Simon Merrells (The Wolfman), Anna Hutchison (The Cabin in the Woods) and Todd Lasance (Cloudstreet), playing a young Julius Caesar.
