Olympianopens rural escape


SirMatthew Pinsent was guest of honour at the opening ceremony of Stanley House Hotel’s newmulti-million pound estate, which includes a luxury Spa.


Located in the RibbleValley in Lancashire, Stanley House’s Spa adopts a ‘rural escape’ theme and houses lavish treatment rooms, relaxation rooms, a thermal suite and hydro pool withmood lighting, a purpose- built double treatment suite with Rasul or private steam room, a Finnish sauna with panoramic rural views, a Pilates studio and gymnasium. Treatments will be offered using products fromIla, Natura Bisse, Orly, BeauBronz and Organic Glam.


The four-time Olympic gold medallist cut the ribbon to declare the Spa officially open.


Champneys gomobile


Champneys has launched a mobile site where guests can easily look at the latest offers, pick their favourite treatments and book in to their chosen Spa.


The Spa brand has seen a 250%increase in traffic using mobile devises to its website where guests research and book their Champneys break, with 27%of all traffic going to the Champneys website coming from mobile devises.


The mobile site, created by Usablenet, gives online visitors a better service, and allows prospective guests to browse and book their favourite Champneys destination and explore the wide range of Spa treatments and fitness classes on offer.


Elemis downunder


British skin care and Spa brand Elemis is now available at the Peace&Quiet Spa inVictoria, Australia.


The Spa features six treatment rooms, a yoga floor and a retail shop, and has won numerous awards includingASPA Best Day Spa 2011 and Best SpaTherapist 2011 awards as well as Best Rural Day Spa 2010 and Employer of ChoiceAward 2008.


Winning Spas announced


The Good Spa Guide's annual awards have been announced, shining a light on what they consider to be the best Spas in the UK.


The Spa in Dolphin Square in Pimlico, London was named Best Day Spa, whilst Ragdale Hall Health Hydro inMeltonMowbray wins Best Destination Spa. Old Course Hotel in St.Andrews won Best Hotel Spa.


The Carita Pro-Lift Firming Rejuvenation at Sofitel So SPA, St James, London was declared the Finest Facial whilstMarvellousMassage was awarded to the Sundari Odati Treatment atVale Resort, Hensol in the Vale of Glamorgan.
