FASHION NICE SHAPES Diamond Supply Company cut the mustard…

We’re all over Diamond Supply Company. They’ve quietly and craftily become a solid part of our fashion itinerary, sneaking their diamond shapes and clever apparel into our ‘must-have list’ and causing a stir on the style dial. Born out of the Los Angeles skate scene over ten years ago, thanks to Nicky Diamond, DSC is currently on a ‘can do no wrong’ roll. Their Fall/ Winter collection holds subtle tweaks on their understated, military- kissed, hip-hop styles. We’re loving their accessory range that includes blankets, pillows and, strangely, a choice of ashtrays.

Diamondsupplyco.com ALL GIVING Warby Parker eyewear have a vision…

It’s a simple rule of thumb – eyewear should be available to everyone. Warby Parker, based in New York, is on a mission to address the global problem that one billion

people lack access to glasses. Their ‘Buy A Pair, Give A Pair’ campaign, working with partners to create jobs to sell affordable glasses, is currently underway. Worthy goodness aside, their frames are lush and they also do a fine line in sunglasses. We’re really feeling their Griffin Revolvers with polarized lenses in black, although blonde tortoiseshell is also a fine look.

RING A DING

Rings on your fingers but not bells on your toes…

Raw, solid silver, chunky rings are le flavor du jour. You’ll need at least one on each finger to complete a tough, fresh look, that for sure isn’t exactly a new thing.

DJ Mag USA suggest you head directly to street markets and craft fairs to find independent designers wares, unique and possibly more affordable. Mix these up with something from Rene Talmon L’Armee’s collection, currently available at hlorenzo.com or renetalmonlarmee.com. This Paris- based company are well worth the hunt.

OUTDOOR CHIC Batten Sportswear is so hot right now…

You certainly won’t want summer to end after a visit to Batten Sportswear’s collection for SS12. Bright, light, colorful and crisp, it’s a ‘makes you smile’ brand that breathes fresh, ocean air into its surf and vintage sportswear-inspired apparel. Launched in 2011, based in Brooklyn, NY and made entirely in the USA, Batten’s founder, Shinya Hasegawa, is a year- round East Coast surfer with a passion for hiking, climbing and camping. He’s injected his personal taste into something with worldwide appeal. We’re smitten. Particularly by their Retro Daypack with shoulder straps made from seat belt material. Nice.
