Shared Web Hosting moving into the cloud computing field is an inevitable trend that helps companies provide what every web hosting customer really wants; their site to be online, always, no matter what. Due to the seemingly natural symmetry between these services, their goal and the cPanel software (and to be honest, the large amount of questions we receive every day in regards to these services and our product), I've gone ahead and reviewed some of the larger cloud offerings on the market today to determine how easy they are to use, deploy, manage and install our software upon.

Rating Guide

If an important feature was missing entirely or was totally undocumented and required contacting the support or sales department directly for assistance.

If a particular section was missing minor features offered by their competitors or was a little bit more difficult to deal with, either in policy or interface.

This was what I considered the standard industry base-line to be and what the average consumer should and could expect from a cloud provider. I based this rating specifically off what I, myself, would expect at minimum from my own provider.

This is a rating indicating that the provider went beyond what was required or offered by others in a particular section. Small features that increase efficiency or ease of use, well thought out documentation in the correct locations or a novel way of doing something.

Re-inventing the wheel; there wasn't a single feature that I could think that would improve a particular section or they had a major feature that increased ease of use or efficiency beyond what a customer could expect.
