Optional Holiday Package Add-Ons For additional flexibility we offer a range of Optional Holiday Package Add-Ons, so that you can tailor-make your own holiday by adding scheduled flights, hotel accommodation and private transfers.
These packages include:
• International flights • Return group transfers between ship and airport
• Hotel accommodation on a Room Only basis where stated
• Government fees and taxes
We’d recommend that you take our package options with flights and transfers to ensure that you arrive at the ship on time and get home as promptly as possible.
The package options are as efficient and competitive as possible, but we’ve left you the freedom to make your own arrangements if you prefer. Please note that you can only opt for the package specific to the voyage, taking flights, transfers and hotels (where applicable). If you do not take the package option, any flights you take will not be covered by our ATOL protection and you will be responsible for making your own travel arrangements both before and after your voyage. Flights and transfers must be purchased together and cannot be purchased separately. You will also need to ensure that you reach the ship at least 2 hours before the stated departure time.
Package Upgrades Hotel stays include transfers. Package options are subject to availability and flight dates and fares may change from those shown. Please see the notes on page 116 which apply to all flights. Depending on flight schedules, Cunard will arrange either a transfer to/from the airport, use of facilities at a first class hotel or a local sightseeing tour as appropriate. The embarkation/disembarkation arrangements
will be operated should flight schedules require them. These arrangements are at Cunard's discretion and may be subject to change.
Guarantee Staterooms When you or your travel agent come to make a reservation you may be offered the guarantee of the stateroom grade, rather than a specific stateroom number. This is because we know from experience that a small number of guests will be compelled to cancel their arrangements, thus leaving the accommodation vacant. Accepting a guarantee means that you have a firm booking and can go ahead with your holiday plans in the same way as if you had accepted a specific stateroom number from the outset. When we allocate a stateroom number you can rest assured you will be given a stateroom of the type you have booked, or in some instances, of a higher rate, though it may be situated on a different deck to that shown on the deck plan for the grade guaranteed. The fare you have been quoted will, however, remain unchanged.
Hotel and Dining Charges During your voyage, you will experience excellent service from members of our crew in a variety of locations. In addition, many more crew behind the scenes support those who serve you directly. For your convenience, a Hotel and Dining charge will be automatically added to your shipboard account on a daily basis. For details of Hotel and Dining charges see page 118.
Bar, Wine and Salon Services A 15% charge is automatically added to your on-board account, which is shared amongst the beverage staff. Naturally, you are free to tip any member of the crew over and above these amounts, at your discretion.
Spanish Tax Following changes in European VAT
Regulations, Spanish IVA (VAT) at a rate of 8% is payable on all bar charges, select dining cover charges and room service charges whilst our ships are located in Spanish territorial waters, (i.e. during the times when we are entering and exiting Spanish ports as well as the time we are alongside in Spanish ports). Prices displayed in our bars, restaurants and room service menus are exclusive of this tax and therefore an additional 8% will be added. The Spanish IVA (VAT) element will be itemised separately on your receipt.
TRAVEL INFORMATION
Pre & Post -Voyage Hotels For air/sea holidays Cunard will fly you to join your ship on the day of embarkation. However, where the included flight timings necessitate a pre-voyage overnight stay, Cunard has included in your voyage fare a deluxe hotel room at the international port of embarkation for the night prior to your voyage. Where embarkation/disembarkation is at an overseas port, Cunard offers an optional Holiday Package Add-On, which includes flights to and from London.
Hotels Hotel space may be limited during certain major events or holidays and therefore it is recommended that you book early. Rates are subject to change and do not include early check-in. To guarantee this, it is advisable to purchase an additional night prior to arrival. Cunard reserves the right to substitute or add hotels of similar quality when necessary. Hotel options carry the same cancellation terms as a voyage, details of which can be found on page 128.
Private Transfers Private transfers to and from the airport to the port can be arranged in the ports shown below. These prices are based on two people sharing a car.

International Flight Arrangements Where the sailing time permits and subject to availability, your flights will be arranged for the day of embarkation/disembarkation. Please note that flights back to the UK from the Americas are normally overnight. Flights are not necessarily direct or non-stop. Should you wish to extend your stay, our Air Department will endeavour to accommodate your personal flight preferences (subject to availability, an extra charge may apply). Transfers and overnight stays at the overseas port of embarkation/disembarkation will not be included in this case. Please note that if amendments (including upgrades) are made
