levels, LittleBigPlanet Kartingsees all the adorable denizens of Craftworld jumping into handmade karts and racing against each other. The story mode follows the events
of LittleBigPlanet 2with Sackboy racing against series baddies The Hoard who this time plan on stealing Craftworld’s prizes. Sackboy must race his way to the top to reclaim the stolen goodies.
During races, players can pick up weapons that can be used as projectiles such as heat seeking missiles, EMPs, grenades and more. There are a whole variety of race types including a battle mode, that sees players take to the arena to smash each other out. There are also treasure hunts and score attacks for the more skillfull player.
CREATIVE MINDS
The fast-paced karting game continues its ‘Play, Create, Share’ ethos encouraging gamers to get creative. Using the same simplistic but deep creation software fans will find familiar, users can create their own tracks to race in with their friends. Players also have control over each level’s rules, which can lead to some truly entertaining races. Consumers can also share their favourite tracks online with the huge LittleBigPlanetcommunity, which already has over six million user- generated levels created from previous titles.
Each track will be published on the
LBP.me website, where detailed pages on tracks and their creators can be found and shared online and via social media. Popular items from the series return with gadgets that allow karts to bounce, grapple or grab their way across the finish line. Consumers planning on pre- ordering the game can pick up two different pre-order packs that add new racing karts, outfits and other creative goodies for building tracks. A European-exclusive special edition with fancy lenticular cover will also be ready for launch.
