TOURNAMENT CENTRAL


One aspect of the mission of NCGA Golf is to


celebrate the achievements of NCGA members in their golf lives.


To fulfill that goal, a new section debuts in this magazine. Dubbed


“Tournament Central” to highlight the connection to the similarly named page on NCGA.org, the new section will detail in a unique manner the results of the more than 30 NCGA championships spread


across each issue of the quarterly magazine.


The NCGA’s inception in 1901 was the result of its participation in the nascent Pacific Coast Amateur. The Association’s growth since then has come partially on the back of its flourishing tournament program which has always sought to offer a comprehensive schedule of events for all ages and playing abilities of men, women and juniors and has grown to more than 400 tournament days per year.


While complete coverage, including scorecards and photo galleries, will still be a popular part of the website, we think NCGA members will enjoy the new section of the magazine.
