She has been active in 4-H since age nine, eventually serving as chapter secretary. She also served as both reporter and president for her FFA chapter, and as both prosecuting and defense attorney during Mayes County Youth Court proceedings. Salina High School Principal Honesti Williams com- mented specifically on Whitney’s notable involvement with the school’s 4-H and FFA programs.

“Whitney received excellent scores in these classes,”

While enrolled in FFA, she served as reporter one year and president three years. She won numerous awards, including Outstanding FFA Member, Star Greenhand, and many proficiency awards in her project areas. She has also won a number of classroom

Turn down the heat! (on your water heater)

THERE are two ways to reduce the amount of energy used to heat water: use less water and use cooler water (about 80% to 85% of the energy used for washing clothes is for heating the water). Switching your temperature setting from hot to warm can cut a load’s energy use in half. Turning your water heater down by a few degrees will also trim your utility costs.
