MANAGEMENT + SYSTEMS Offering benefits to logistics operations Voxware, a voice solution provider, recently announced release 5.0 the Voxware Voice Management Suite (VMS). T T
his release introduces VoxPilot, which gives logistics executives visibility into work as it progresses, and immediate access to corrective tools when action must be taken. VoxPilot enables enterprises to improve
customer service commitments by closing the gap between static dashboard reporting and active correction of bottlenecks. Voxware highlights that VoxPilot is a role-based, action-
oriented, and scalable workforce management tool for voice- directed operations. Each user creates a tailored view of real time operations data specific to his or her role, yielding actionable information. VoxPilot has a unique ‘one-click’ bridge from display to action, enabling instant intervention in on-going work. VoxPilot is also the first workforce management tool to scale across multiple facilities, giving management visibility to
every operation simultaneously from a single console. “Version 5.0 is a major advancement providing the ability
to make immediate real time adjustments to distribution operations across multiple facilities. This capability will allow an organisation to react to changing customer priorities throughout the day,” said Keith Phillips, Voxware CEO. He adds: “Enterprises with high customer service
commitments know that distribution operations are integral to their value proposition, and they are increasingly demanding real time tools. With VoxPilot, management not only has instant visibility into ongoing work, but also the power to immediately shift priorities and correct problems. VoxPilot closes a gap between information and action, giving enterprises a powerful tool to meet and exceed their customers’ expectations.”
Apriso announces 2011 revenue growth
Apriso, a provider of manufacturing software solutions, has announced 2011 revenue grew by 34% on a year-over-year basis, a new record for the company.
otal revenue has grown every year since 2005, at a compounded annual growth rate of 24%. Software revenue grew at a compounded annual growth rate of 34% over the same seven year period.
“Apriso has established itself as a provider of global solutions
for manufacturing operations management, as evidenced by our revenue growth rate that has doubled the industry. Customer satisfaction remains at an all-time high. Our customers continue to expand their Apriso footprint to further reduce costs, expand continuous improvement and increase flexibility to respond quickly to change,” stated Jim Henderson, president and CEO of Apriso.
Enterprise decisions 2011 revenue was driven by global manufacturers making or
expanding their enterprise commitment to Apriso. Sixty percent of the new customers in the year made an enterprise decision for
Apriso. In addition, revenue growth was driven by continued roll- outs and software expansion at over 100 different manufacturing clients, the majority having already made an enterprise decision for Apriso in earlier years. “The Apriso business model is different from a traditional
Manufacturing Execution System (MES) company. MES has historically been sold plant by plant. At Apriso, we help manufacturers to strategically leverage a platform for manufacturing operations that works across plants, even if they elect to implement only a single site initially. Apriso’s speed in deployment and unique product capabilities make us the natural choice for global, multi-site manufacturers. Our consistent growth and the number of customer sites that have gone live with FlexNet are directly attributable to this differentiated approach to MES,” continued Henderson.
Seamless integration of DocuWare and Outlook
Central to DocuWare’s presence at the recent CeBIT exhibition was its latest version of DocuWare 5.1c(SP1). Highlights include the new module, DocuWare CONNECT to Outlook.
D
ocuWare explains that this tool helps users fulfil their retention requirements for email directly out of the familiar Outlook environment. Searching in DocuWare using this new tool is equally simple, offering significantly
more search options than Outlook’s regular search functionality. “Email is essential in business today. Not only must messages
be instantly accessible, they are often subject to regulatory retention periods; storing them is therefore a necessity.” DocuWare CONNECT to Outlook is designed to help users
easily manage email. Users can archive email along with attachments directly out of the Microsoft application and into one central document pool. Depending on the configuration, email can then be automatically deleted or checked and left in a mailbox - with or without the attachment. Messages can be
archived in DOC, RTF, PDF or PDF/A formats as well as in their original format (MSG), while attachments are stored in their original formats. Searches are also easily conducted from within the Microsoft
environment using quick search. A user can set the criteria, for example, to search for all email that was sent by the same sender in the last quarter. DocuWare highlights that it significantly enhances the search capability offered in Outlook. Configuration of this new module is handled in Web Client settings and may be adjusted by an administrator or users themselves. As with all DocuWare products, beyond functionality, the
company placed great emphasis while developing DocuWare CONNECT to Outlook on performance, ease of use, and uniformity to ensure a quick learning curve and seamless adoption.
